Golf Courses in Pattaya
Pattaya, located about 1 ½ hours from Bangkok and about 1 hour from Suvarnabhumi airport, is a lively seaside resort and a top golf destination.

The area offers more than 15 top golf courses, designed by ‘golf greats’ like Trent Jones jr, Jack Nicklaus, Pete Dye, Ronald Fream and Desmond Muirhead - to name just a few.

BANGPRA INT. GOLF CLUB
One of the oldest courses in the area, goes back to 1958 but was redesigned several times. Fine example of Japanese golf design with lots of trees and lush tropical surroundings.

BURAPHA GOLF CLUB
Ranks in the top five in Pattaya. Boasts two 18-hole-courses with the championship course as an international design, the C/D more a charming British style Country Course. Both are fun to play.

CRYSTAL BAY GOLF CLUB
Former Natural Park Resort and extensively renovated und upgraded. Lush 27-holes with challenging water hazards, doglegs and an island green.

EASTERN STAR COUNTRY CLUB & RESORT
Excellent example of one of Thailand’s few links-courses, designed by Trent Jones jr.
Offers challenging golf for all levels of handicaps and is seldom too crowded.

KHAO KHEOW COUNTRY CLUB
Very appealing 27-hole design, A/B are built as a tough stadium championship course. The combination B/C is more on the country course side but all are worth playing.

LAEM CHABANG INT. COUNTRY CLUB
Undisputedly best course in Pattaya and always in mint condition. Top design by Jack Nicklaus, the MOUNTAIN-, LAKE- and CREEK-NINE guarantee variety and challenge.

The Par-3 Rock course near the gigantic clubhouse is fun to play.

MOUNTAIN SHADOW GOLF CLUB
Sister club of Crystal Bay and the former Natural Park Hill. Palm-tree lined partly narrow fairways, water hazards and island greens guarantee rewarding rounds on this very well maintained course.

PATTANA SPORTS CLUB
Newest addition to Pattaya’s already fine collection of courses. Aims to become the most comprehensive sport complex of the area with 27 holes of golf, Olympic size pool and soccer field amongst other amenities. Very challenging and demanding layout, will be a top course when grown in a little bit with more mature trees.

PHOENIX GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB
27-hole-layout and very appealing one. Boasts lots of water hazards but is fair and has very big greens. Excellent clubhouse.

PLUTALUANG ROYAL THAI NAVY GOLF COURSE
Is one of the oldest and most natural courses of the country. Scenic surroundings amidst Chonburi Hills and a unique experience.

RAYONG GREEN VALLEY COUNTRY CLUB 
Lovely course on a hilly side featuring large rocks and boulders and lots of strategic bunkers, but fair with plenty of space to lay up. Is not too difficult and perfect for relaxing holiday golf.

SIAM COUNTRY CLUB
Started the ‘golf boom’ in Pattaya more than 3 decades ago. Was closed for 2 years for extensive renovations and upgrades, is after reopening in 2006 now again one of Pattaya’s stars. Challenging but fair design on a beautifully matured course.

SIAM COUNTRY PLANTATION
Latest addition to Pattaya’s top courses, opened in March 2008 but is among the top 3 already, hosted an LPGA tournament in March 2009.

ST. ANDREWS 2000
Designed by the late Desmond Muirhead it comes as close to typical Scottish links as it gets. Remarkable are two Par 6 holes with more than 800 yards from the back tees.

Difficult but fair course; however, no fun for high handicappers.
